Here is a link to the National Archives website with tons of good lesson plans and resources for teaching History with original documents, footage, etc. Hope it is helpful.

Any comments on this article about early intervention for special education students saving time, money, and services?

This is a good discussion with a college English professor who uses a blog to enhance his instruction. Go to his blog

Classic German song. Schnickel fritz is my favorite.

This might be a useful website for Social Studies teachers. The organization that runs it is the non-partisan Annenberg Foundation (Walter Annenberg was a personal friend of Ronald Reagan--that's for you, Rob). The site's goal is to promote truth in public communication. There is an education section that has resources for the classroom on the bottom left of the front page. Check it out.

Saw this great article in the latest edition of National Geographic Magazine. Thought the science types in our building might get some use out of it. It is called Design by Nature and highlights how we can design products like swimming uniforms, cars, and propellers by looking at animals in nature. There are tons of great color photos you can shoot up on your SmartBoard. Click below to download the pdf.
